Add Trustpilot Reviews Block to Checkout Page

This guide will walk you through the process of creating and adding a Trustpilot Reviews block to your checkout page using Checkout Ninja.

Overview​

The Trustpilot block allows you to display customer reviews and ratings from Trustpilot directly on your checkout page, helping build customer confidence and trust during the purchase process.

Step 1: Access Checkout Ninja App​

Navigate to your Shopify admin panel and access the Checkout Ninja app from the Apps section in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Create a New Advanced Block​

From the Checkout Ninja homepage, click on "Create Advanced Block" to access the advanced block creation interface.

Step 3: Add Trustpilot Block Type​

  1. Click on "Add new block" to see available block types
  2. In the "Type" dropdown, select "TrustPilot" from the list of available options

Step 4: Configure Trustpilot Block Settings​

Once you select "TrustPilot" as the block type, you'll see the following configuration options:

Configuration Fields:​

  • Title: Default is "TrustPilot Reviews" (you can customize this)
  • Max Reviews: Set the maximum number of reviews to display (default is 5)
  • Overall Rating (Image Url): Optional field to add a custom rating image URL

Step 5: Add Individual Reviews​

To make your Trustpilot block effective, you need to add actual customer reviews. For each review, click "Add new item" and fill in the following fields:

Review Fields:​

  • Title: A catchy headline for the review (e.g., "Excellent Service and Fast Delivery!")
  • Rating: Star rating from 1-5 (e.g., 5 for excellent, 4 for very good)
  • Review: The full review text describing the customer's experience
  • Name: Customer's name (e.g., "Sarah Johnson")
  • Date: Review date in any format, You can give like "2 Jan 2025"

  • Title: "Excellent Service and Fast Delivery!"
  • Rating: 5
  • Review: "Outstanding experience! The product quality exceeded my expectations and the delivery was incredibly fast. Customer service was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Highly recommend!"
  • Name: "Sarah Johnson"
  • Date: "2024-08-15"

Review 2:

  • Title: "Great Product Quality"
  • Rating: 4
  • Review: "Very satisfied with my purchase. The item arrived on time and exactly as described. Good value for money and would definitely order again. Minor improvement could be made to packaging but overall a solid experience."
  • Name: "Michael Chen"
  • Date: "2024-08-20"

Add 2-5 reviews to provide social proof and build customer confidence during checkout.

Step 6: Set Block Status and Save​

  1. Add a descriptive title for your block (e.g., "Trustpilot Reviews Block")
  2. Change the status from "Draft" to "Active"
  3. Click "Save" to create the block

Important: After saving, note down the Block ID that appears (e.g., 141735166042). You'll need this ID to add the block to your checkout page.

Step 7: Add Block to Checkout Page​

  1. Navigate to Shopify Settings > Checkout > Customize to open the Checkout Editor
  2. In the Apps section (left sidebar), find "Custom Block" under Checkout Ninja
  3. The Custom Block will show as "Added" if already configured, or you can add it if not already present
  4. You'll see the Trustpilot reviews are already visible in the checkout preview on the right

Step 8: Configure Block in Checkout Editor​

  1. Click on the Custom Block in the Apps section to configure it
  2. In the Block Settings panel on the left, verify your Block ID is correctly entered (e.g., "141735166042")
  3. The Trustpilot reviews will be visible and fully functional in the checkout preview on the right
  4. You can see all configured reviews with titles, ratings, review text, names, and dates
  5. Click "Save" to apply the changes

Step 9: Verify Installation​

Once saved, the Trustpilot Reviews block will be live on your checkout page. The block will:

  • Display customer reviews from Trustpilot
  • Show ratings and review content
  • Help build customer trust during checkout
  • Be responsive across desktop and mobile devices
